Greetings from the Omnigraphic Blogopticon. On view are vile sticky things dragged from the attic, snarky commentary on the world at large, and all-encompassing ennui. All that and a weird rubbery smell. A horrible time will be had by all.

Faded Away

Damien 7/10/1991-5/14/2009

In the past two weeks the orange beastie had been eating very little and had gotten pretty frail. He had suddenly become an elderly cat. I had even attempted feeding him prescription cat food with a syringe. He gave up early Friday morning.

Messy, argumentative, loud, brainy, major pain in the ass, and the best cat ever.

I'm so sorry that he's gone.. I'm sure he was an awesome cat. I never know quite what to say at times like these.. but please know you have my sympathies. Rest in Peace Damien.

i am so sorry to hear the old man is gone. Cats become a part of our souls (usually at night when they try to steal them). I hope there's lots of clean litter boxes and his favorite mousies wherever he's gone to. Hugs to you, Sev.

Oh no!,no, no, I'm so upset. sorry to hear about the little beastie. I'm going to miss him too and your rantings about him.
Orange cats are the best and Damien was a little legend.
Very sad.
Hugs to you too Sev.

Oh man, your is about the 3rd old cat I know of that faded/is fading away. :(

I'm so sorry. We love them so much, and their lives are so short.

Uncharacteristically, I am at a loss for words.

Big hug.

I honestly thought the little beast would live forever. He seemed impervious to aging.

Heart broken and raw, I know. They're just not with us for long enough - we share your greif, Sev.

My condolences - losing a kitty is difficult, particularly one who's been with you for so long.

I will always cherish the orange cat hairs that came with my wonky Arthur pin.

I'm so sorry, I always loved hearing about him, and especially loved the video of him meowing that your brother recorded. I would be heartbroken if I lost my kitty.
