Greetings from the Omnigraphic Blogopticon. On view are vile sticky things dragged from the attic, snarky commentary on the world at large, and all-encompassing ennui. All that and a weird rubbery smell. A horrible time will be had by all.

Now For A Recap

I've just been able to read some of the comments in a few old posts. Finally. For some reason Blogger kept giving me a blank page and claiming it was "done." So there's the perv guy from a couple of posts ago looking at the woman's boobs that no-one could find. I like how she looks off into space, pretending not to notice. I have no opinion on the scary bonnet worn by the crazed-looking broad off to the right.

I would take a nice fancy new close-up of the picture but my camera died a couple of weeks ago. My good digital camera. The one I paid over $200 for. Yeah, that one.

It's also too big a photo to fit on my scanner, even if I take it out of the frame.

I did look on eBay for dead cameras for lens parts but they all seem to have dead lenses. One of the main complaints about the Nikon Coolpix is the tendency for the lens to totally crap out for no real reason. I suppose I was lucky I got 3-4 years out of the thing since I read quite a few comments from people who had fairly new cameras die. And mine didn't die for no real reason, it died maybe a year after it popped off my cheap tripod and landed face-down with the lens extended. I would get a black screen for the first photo I took right after it was turned on, but then it would be fine. The digital zoom wouldn't work but I hardly ever used that. I usually take a high-resolution pic and crop it later.

Gawd I miss my camera. All I have right now is a cheap-ass keychain camera and a 1950s 35mm which isn't an SLR but so long as I can figure the distance correctly it shoots fine. Manual shutter speed and f-stops & such but no flash or battery pack. I might try it to reshoot my Etsy stuff or I could wait until I get paid in a week and look on Ebay again for a used camera.

I tried using the cheap camera last night and there wasn't enough light. So between that, Baloney Man, a girl screaming "Aaaaaaandrooooo!" in my ear, and being tossed out of a club early I had a pretty enfuriating evening.

Have a look at they have cheap (under $100) cameras (and tons of stupid crap). Also, has cheap cameras.

Dude, if I could afford to blow $100 on another camera right now I damn sure wouldn't be whining about mine dying.

I did see a used one on eBay being sold by a pawn shop and it was only $27, which I didn't have at the time.
